Project Update - Inserts? - perhaps, maybe

I tested the possibility of including an "inserts frame" over the keypad used with the arcade sticks shown below and it seems to work. I may make this available as an option. I have noticed that inserts aren't really necessary depending on the game - but it is nice to have a reference. Since this is a custom keypad PCB using an industry standard enclosure, to keep costs reasonable,  it really isn't designed for inserts by default, however with the "inserts frame" - it does the job.

Prototype #1 - Compact Base 2 button

Prototype #2: - Compact Base  - 3 button

Prototype #3: - Compact Base 3 button arc configuration

Prototype #1 - Larger Base - in case someone wants to have a larger unit. Feedback from initial customer states the smaller, compact unit that he is testing is nice and fits on one's lap comfortably, but would like something bigger to use on a table top and a design to rest hands / wrists on comfortably.

 Let's Play Bomb Squad

Below are the initial testing results for existing physical games that were available at the time of testing. The below list does not represent all the games that are playable. Special thanks to Mitchell Azevedo for putting Compact Prototype #1 through its paces and compiling this list of Intellivision games that are compatible with the RetroGameBoyz Intellivision II arcade stick.

"It is safe to say that all Intellivision games are playable with only a few games mostly sports titles such as Baseball, Football, Golf, Hockey where gameplay is adversely affected. Bomb Squad and Vectron are playable but some elements of game are much tougher. My conclusion is that the RetroGameBoyz Intelli-stick functions with all games, works well with most games with the exception of a few sports titles, Bomb Squad and Vectron.

Finding the diagonals is important in Venture and they are tough to consistently pull off with the OEM disc but with the RetroGameBoyz Intelli-stick they are effortless and make Venture a much more enjoyable game.. Armor Battle which is a 2 player only game IS PLAYABLE with only 8 directions but when comparing the Intelli-stick to the OEM disc controller, there is much smoother rotation with the disc than the Intelli-stick, but if there were 2 Intelli-sticks it would be very playable because both player have the same limitations." ~ Mitchell Azevedo
