Pre-Order Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel a pre-order within seven (7) days of the original purchase date for a full refund.

If more than seven (7) days have passed since the pre-order was placed, you may still request a cancellation; however, a 15% cancellation fee will be applied based on the total purchase price of the item. The remaining balance will be refunded to the original method of payment.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this cancellation policy.

15 Day Return Policy

RetroGameBoyz strives for 100% customer satisfaction and with over 10,000 units sold worldwide and 1000s of happy customers, RetroGameBoyz will continue to do so. However, we know that problems can arise and that customers can be particular about their items received. RetroGameBoyz provides as much information as possible through, customer reviews, influencer reviews, listing pictures, demonstration and overview videos and descriptive text to make sure your expectations are properly set BEFORE purchasing, but if an "issue" was to occur, you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return.

For Defective, Non-functioning, Broken Items - RetroGameBoyz Pays Shipping

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with warranty label intact (if applicable), and in its original packaging (if applicable). You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase, but I usually have a record of your purchase.  To start a return, contact orders@retrogameboyz.com. If your return is accepted, RetroGameBoyz will send you a pre-paid return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Once the item is received, it will be inspected and tested. If everything is found acceptable, a replacement item will be sent out or a refund will be issued, depending on what the customer wants. 

For Buyer's Remorse, Just Did Not Like, Not What I Expected Items -  You Pay for Shipping and Return Fee

So to be blunt, I am not Amazon or a huge retail chain. This was a hobby that went viral and turned into a side-hustle. RetroGameBoyz provides as much information as possible through, customer reviews, influencer reviews, listing pictures, demonstration and overview videos and descriptive text to make sure your expectations are properly set BEFORE purchasing. BUT, if you are returning an item because you did not like it, it was not what you expected, etc., you absolutely can return it. You will need to pay for return shipping and note that the item may be subject to a 15% return fee. I create unique items that people love. A lot of time and energy goes into preparing, fabricating and assembling. This fee helps recover any of those costs. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with warranty label intact (if applicable), and in its original packaging (if applicable). You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase, but I usually have a record of your purchase.  To start a return, you can contact us at orders@retrogameboyz.com. If your return is accepted, YOU are responsible for purchasing shipping back to RetroGameBoyz. We’ll send instructions on how and where to send your package. Once the item is received, it will be inspected and tested. If everything is found acceptable a refund will be issued for the original purchase price, minus a 15% return fee. Note that the original shipping costs to send the item WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. 

NOTE: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Gift Card Policy

All RetroGameBoyz gift card purchases are final and non-refundable. Gift cards cannot be returned, exchanged, or redeemed for cash value, except where required by law.

Once purchased, the gift card balance can only be used toward purchases made through our store. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced, so please treat them like cash.

By purchasing a gift card, you agree to these terms.
