RetroGameBoyz PlaycoVision Colecovision Atari 2600 Compatible Control Pad
The ColecoVision controller you always wanted.
The PlaycoVision swaps the original's stiff joystick and crowded keypad for a modern pad: a responsive D-pad, two arcade-style fire buttons, and the keypad keys you actually use, built right in. Pick your skill level, start the game and play, without hunting for a keypad.
The comfort of a classic NES-style gamepad The PlaycoVision uses the tried-and-true NES-style layout that millions of players grew up with: D-pad under your left thumb, fire buttons under your right, and a flat, rectangular body that rests naturally in both hands. It's comfortable for hours, with none of the hand cramps the original ColecoVision stick was famous for.
A real injection-molded case, not 3D printed It's built in a solid injection-molded case, the same way commercial controllers are made. That means smooth surfaces, tight seams and a sturdy feel. There are no print lines, no rough edges, and no flexing when the action gets intense.
Most commonly used Keypad keys, built in
- * has its own button. It starts and restarts most games.
- Hold Shift + a direction for 1, 2, 6 and 9, and use the diagonals for 3, #, and 5.
- The numbers are printed right around the D-pad, so there's nothing to memorize.
- Covers the usual start sequences, including 5 to add a coin and 1 to start on homebrew and multicart arcade ports.
Built for long cords On a long extension cord, the original controller (and most replacements) can mistake Button I for Button II. In Defender, that means a smart bomb every time you fire. The PlaycoVision has a fix built into the circuit, and we've tested it with long cords.
Two real fire buttons Buttons I and II work independently or together, so games that use both at once, like Tutankham, work as intended.
Plug in and play No batteries, no switches, no setup. Plug it into the controller port and go.

Good to know
- Works with the ColecoVision and Atari 2600 (+) only
- Keys 4, 7, 8 and 0 aren't included. Games that need those keys during play still need an original keypad.
- While Shift is held, the game also sees the direction. That's harmless at menus and skill screens.
