Colecovision Control Pad OS3D

Regular price $64.95

This control pad is part of the open source project started by Sparkletron.

You can visit the GitHub Repository here and download the 3D model and circuit board files. Please note: These resources are intended for users with experience in 3D printing and PCB manufacturing. RetroGameBoyz does not offer support for these processes.

If you purchase the "Board Only" - to make things easier for you, you can simply download the ORIGINAL STL files for the enclosure and buttons here.  RetroGameBoyz does not offer support for these processes, if you want to make something on your own, that is up to you. Detailed specs and more information available at the GitHub project page linked above. The boards have been tested and work accordingly. Assembly is intuitive. Just solder the 7 wires in place indicate in supplied image. Wrap cable in top wire restraint and assemble and secure with 8 screws.

I have also contributed to the project. I was told to "fork" the project to my own GitHub repository with my changes. ( making a copy of a repository, under my own account). I will do so once I familiar myself with GitHub and will make my chances available.

Note: The PCB (circuit board) that I use contain my new contributions. They are assembled by the manufacturer, using all surface mounted diodes and micro-switches. (No manual component placement or soldering needed). These are a bit more expensive to make as they are completely assembled by the PCB manufacturer. There is no need to solder diodes or micro-switches.

Cable length is measured to 60"-62" before assembly. Longer cables can causes some games to respond in an unexpected manner. (For example, Defender will activate smart bomb when button 1 (laser) is fired and the ship is moving right or left.)

Note about 3D printed parts:

Every piece I create is handcrafted with care, precision, and attention to detail. I strive for a flawless appearance and take great care during assembly. However, due to variations in materials and the nature of the 3D printing process, slight differences in sheen, texture, or color may occur. Some parts may display minor layer lines or surface artifacts, but these will not affect the overall look or functionality.

Your satisfaction is important to me—if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
